Mostra internazionale del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro / Pesaro Film Festival
June 19–20 2026, Teatro Sperimentale, Sala Pasolini
Curated by Cecilia Ermini and Stefano Miraglia
In partnership with sixpackfilm and Forum Austriaco di Cultura.
A two-programme retrospective of films by Friedl vom Gröller, spanning works made between 1968 and 2025. All films are presented on 16mm, with some screening in Italy for the first time, in the presence of the artist.
Rather than following a chronological or thematic structure, the programmes were assembled from across vom Gröller's filmography as two personal selections of ten films each. Whenever possible, the two programmes mirror one another through formal correspondences and moments of symmetry: a double portrait, a film about the artist's parents, a film shot on the banks of the Ticino River, a film shot in Rome, and other visual or conceptual echoes . Each programme opens with one of the artist's late-1960s films, shot at 16 frames per second and projected at 18 frames per second.
